Kirin Afternoon Tea

image

I spotted Kirin’s Afternoon Milk Tea at the local Asian market, Marina Foods. For the longest time I assumed Marina Foods was a Hispanic market because of the name so you can imagine my surprise when I walked in!

I spotted Kirin’s afternoon tea in the refrigerated section. It wasn’t terribly expensive — $2 per bottle.

The taste was pleasingly strong! The level of sugar was just right for me too. It was smooth and had a very natural flavor rather than tasting artificial or syrupy. Maybe that’s because the ingredients were shockingly simple: tea, water, milk and sugar.

Who would have guessed that combination would be so tasty?
